Consists of European, American, and world medals collected by Vermeule. The collection is particularly strong in 1) Italian Renaissance medals, with 39 examples, including pieces by Pisanello, Mariscotti, Lixignolo, Matteo de' Pasti, Enzola, Sperandio, Selvi, and Rantvic; and 2) modern American medals, with 112 examples, including pieces by Reich, Furst, Kneass, Paquet, Longacre, W. Barber, C. Barber, Morgan, A. St. Gaudens, L. St. Gaudens, Pratt, Weinman, Flanagan, Brenner, Manship, Hyatt, Beach, Fraser, Keck, Sinnock, Kilenyi, Hoffman, de Francisci, Vincze, and Gasparro.
