  • MS.; original in Castello del Buonconsiglio, Trent.
  • Mss. 87-93, undated [15th cent.].
  • These mss., known as the Trienter codices, were compiled in the 15th century, probably for the library of the Duomo at Trent, where six of them were found and described about 1885. These six volumes (Cod. 87- 92) containing 1585 compositions, were bought in 1891 by the Austrian Ministerium für Cultus und Unterricht, and were deposited in the Hofbibliothek (now the Nationalbibliothek) at Vienna. In 1920, under the terms of the treaty of St. Germain, they were returned to Trent. The seventh codex (Codex Tridentius 93, nos. 1586-1864) was found in the archives of the Duomo in 1920. The mss. were probably written by Johannes Wiser and other scribes.
  • Latin, French, German or Italian words.
  • For a description of the six mss., see: Adler, Guido. Sechs Trienter codices. 1900-04.
  • The seventh codex (Codex Tridentinus 93) was found in the archives of the Duomo at Trent in 1920.
