    Summary note
    A history of the reign of Bayezid II. This copy is possibly a holograph: according to Ṭāhir, OM, the author of the work is Mehmet ibn Mustafa Şevki and the work was composed in 1013 - this copy ends with the statement by Şevki and the relevant date, all written in the style of a colophon (see explicit). So, composed (and copied?) by Şevki in Shawwāl 1013 (1605).

    • 27 lines per page. Written in a small nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red. Text is written inside a gold leaf frame outlined in black and blue ink. On fol. 1b-2a the frames have additional, wider gold leaf line, and fol. 1b has en elegant illuminated head piece executed in gold leaf with blue, white and orange watercolors. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Dark cream paper (with laid lines visible?).

    Binding note
    Beautiful binding in dark green leather (morocco?) with a gold tooled panel design, consisting of a gold guilloche and four gold fillets around the edges of covers with small rosetta stamps with radiating sprigs as corner pieces, and central mandorlas, blind stamped, covered in brown leather and painted with brown and gold, with small rosetta stamps and radiating sprigs around the edges. Endleaves in glossy dark red paper with an obloid brown leather medallions decorated with a gold mesh pattern pasted in the centre of each of the flyleaves. The whole is inside a case with a flap made of green paper covered pasteboard and red leather. Labels on the side of the case: "Bayezitname, Turkī" and "A26".
