  • Ms. in Maghribi script on unglazed paper. 22.8 x 16.7 cm. Headings and keywords in red ink. Catchwords; text partially vocalized. Extensive marginal and interlinear notation, most in the same hand. Numerous additional notes included on slips of paper. Many of these slips are threaded to the relevant leaf.
  • Paper is unglazed laid stock. Some leaves bear tres lune watermark similar to Ersoy, Osman. XVIII. ve XIX. yüzyıllarda Türkiye'de kâğıt. Ankara : Ankara Üniversitesi Dil ve Tarih-Coğrafya Fakültesi, 1963, no. 108. First and last leaves torn at edges; some text missing from top of first leaf. Ink has bled on many leaves. Some minor water damage. Paper repairs to the edges of some leaves. Text block not attached to binding.
  • Binding is red leather over pasteboard, wallet style. Spine is plain. Covers have triple fillet border and second smaller single fillet frame all blind stamped. Four blind stamped single fillets intersecting at center divide cover into eight sections. Cover centers have blind-stamped mandorla with opposing tulips surrounded by blind stamped floral rosettes. Envelope flap has triple fillet border with mandorla at center surrounded by rosette stamps. Fore edge of envelope flap has fillet border, center cartouche with legend: Lā yamassuhu illā al-muṭahharūn (56:79). This is flanked by tulip designs and rosettes in cross-hatching. Pastedowns have stenciled floral design in gilt on black background.
