Summary note

• Consists of correspondence, photographs, souvenirs, printed material, and other miscellanea collected by Molly Shenstone about her friend Thomas Mann (1875-1955), the German novelist, essayist, playwright, and lecturer in the humanities at Princeton University.
• The collection consists of assorted material collected by Molly Shenstone that relates to Thomas Mann. Included are notes concerning Mann, text of two radio broadcasts made by Mann (December 1940), a hate letter directed to Mann while at Princeton (1939), a small selection of photographs of Mann and his family, the preface to the 1939 edition of Royal Highness, and printed material featuring Mann. There is also correspondence between Shenstone and others, such as Katharina Pringsheim Mann [Mann's wife] and Caroline Newton, concerning Mann.
