Binding note
PUL Accession dated March 26, 1913 - Accession number 294915. At this number, the binding is recorded as 'leather.' Nothing remains of that binding, except for an endpaper (17th cent watermark)inscribed 'Thomas Shepard's book. May 9, 1669'. The current binding is unsigned but it is the work of Dieter Steinmann, European Bookbinding Company, 60-82 80th Ave., Ridgewood, Queens, NY. Steinman was given individual rebinding projects by the Library during the 1960s or early 1970s.
