          • Cruik copy contains an original drawing.
          • "The balance of power," title written in ink by G. Cruikshank above the drawing, and beneath it, "The emperor putting his foot in it." On the side of the drawing is a very characteristic and bold signature, "Geo. Cruikshank." On the opposite side of the page is a large signature "George Cruikshank."
