• WHS copy has 12 leaves of ms. notes bound in at end.
• ExI copy imperfect: first leaf (blank) wanting.
• ExI copy: leaf a2 and 5 have each a gold initial on green background and ornamentation in the margins. At the beginning of Genesis is a miniature (the Creator). Ornamental capitals in blue and red at the beginning of each chapter and preface (argumentum or prologus) to each chapter. Other capitals in red. Leaf 340 (blank) has a ms. list of the books of the Bible.

Binding note

• ExI copy bound by Douglas Cockerell in oak boards with morocco back and clasps.
• ExKa copy in old red goatskin ruled and tooled in gold; with brass bosses and corner-pieces on both covers; straps of clasps are attached to upper board.
