Besides Masen's three works and Grenan's one, there is a preliminary note, p. [vii]-lxxij, concerning William Lauder's charges of plagiarism from "Sarcotis" by Milton in "Paradise Lost", in French: "Observations sur le Paradis perdu de Milton, & sur la Sarcothée de Masenius."
Latin text and verse translation of Lamentations on opposite pages.
Sarcotis first published in Masen's Palaestra eloquentiae ligatae, Cologne, 1661; Grenan's Paraphrasis first printed Paris, 1715.
