Notes
"Kindred is publication 128 in the Arion Press catalogue and was designed and produced in San Francisco by the staff--Joel Benson, Brian Ferrett, Megan Gibes, Blake Riley, and apprentices Kris Branco and Jocelyn Lee--with assistance from Rolph Blythe, John DeMerritt, Ted Gioia, Constance Hale, Sienna McCulley, Alex Miller, Huong Trinh, and Nguyen Trinh. The edition is printed by letterpress on all-cotton mouldmade Somerset from lead alloy cast onsite. The typefaces are Monotype Ehrhardt with Phenix handset for display. The artwork was printed on handmade Moriki red kozo and Salago gampi from polymer plates prepared from original linoleum blocks carved by the artist. The edition is limited to 210 Fine Press and 40 Deluxe copies for sale with a total of 31 lettered copies--26 plus 5, respectively--reserved hors commerce for project participants. Books in the Deluxe edition are accompanied by "The Escape," a relief print in red-black ink on blue-gray Dai Chiri kozo. All copies of the book and print are signed by the artist"--Colophon.
Issued in slipcase.
