Pacho Flores has been called "the Paganini of the trumpet" (Bachtrack), and it is our privilege to watch him perform alongside maestro Domingo Hindoyan and the impeccable Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in an irresistible program fittingly titled Fiesta!, spotlighting the colors and rhythms of Latin American music. Among the evening's highlights, catch the UK premiere of Mexican composer Gabriela Ortiz's Altar de Bronce, a brand-new trumpet concerto performed by the inimitable Flores-plus works by Venezuelan composers Evencio Castellanos, Antonio Estévez, and Inocente Carreño -- Puerto Rican contemporary composer Roberto Sierra -- and as a grand finale, four unforgettable dances from the ballet Estancia by legendary Argentinian composer Alberto Ginastera.
