Summary note
The 30th edition of the Verbier Festival couldn't start with anything but the most spectacular tour de force-and that's exactly what we get when legendary maestro Zubin Mehta and the prestigious Verbier Festival Orchestra join forces to perform Berlioz's Symphonie fantastique, five movements of programmatic imagery and enchanting melody. The composer himself wrote of the game-changing masterpiece, "The Symphonie fantastique has been welcomed with stamping and shouting [...]. It was chaos." Photo © Nicolas Brodard medici.tv's broadcasts of the Verbier Festival's 30th anniversary edition are produced with the support of Madame Aline Foriel-Destezet.
