A Venetian edition of the Octoechos, a liturgical book containing hymns arranged in eight parts, according to eight different tones, used in Byzantine rite, illustrated with three full-page woodcuts. This edition is described on the title-page as being newly edited and corrected by Nikodemos Babatenos, hierodeacon of Livadeia in Greece. It was published by Nikolaos Saros, a scholar and printer originally from Epirus who settled in Venice in the 1680s.
