Other subjects discussed in the file include Soviet foreign policy -- developments in negotiations related to the Strategic Arms Limitation Talks -- disarmament and the Mutual and Balanced Force Reductions treaty -- the European Economic Community -- dissident movements in Eastern Europe -- the ideological struggle between East and West -- Soviet defence policy and military movements -- the approach of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe to international economic institutions -- and a speech given by Brezhnev.
