A file of correspondence and reports concerning political relations between Bulgaria and the United Kingdom. The documents cover a visit to Britain by Andon Traikov, the first deputy foreign minister of Bulgaria -- Traikov's meetings with British politicians including Roy Hattersley, James Callaghan, and Eric Deakins -- and the content of the discussions, which covered commercial and economic relations, the termination of the Anglo-Bulgarian trade agreement, Britain's membership of the European Economic Community (E.E.C.), the Anglo-Bulgarian joint commission, relations between the E.E.C. and the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance, and the conference on European security.
