Summary note
A file of correspondence and reports concerning political relations between Albania and the United Kingdom. The documents cover a Parliamentary Question concerning the countries with which the U.K. does not maintain diplomatic relations -- and the reasons behind Britain's lack of relations with Albania, which include Albania's refusal to pay compensation for the Corfu Channel incident, and Albania's demands for the return of gold currently held by the Tripartite Commission. Other documents in the file cover Britain's non-recognition of North Korea -- the breaking of U.K. relations with Guatemala -- and an Albanian request that West Germany pay USD4 billion in war reparations.
