Summary note
A file containing documents relating to trade missions and other commercial visits from the United Kingdom to the Soviet Union. Documents in the file concern visits by various delegations including two representatives of British Insulated Callender's Cables -- a general electronics mission -- an aviation electronics mission -- a delegation from the East European Trade Council -- a delegation from the National Association of Card, Blowing, and Ring Room Operatives, a textile workers' union -- a group from International Computers and Tabulators Limited (I.C.T.) -- and a group from the British Plastics Federation. Individuals noted as visiting the Soviet Union include the governor of the Bank of England -- two representatives of Smiths Industries, a firm making car parts -- the president of the Board of Trade, Anthony Crosland -- and an adviser at the Bank of England.
