Summary note
A file containing documents concerning Bulgarian-Greek relations. Matters discussed in the file include a visit to Bulgaria by a group of Greek parliamentarians, who had been given "red carpet" treatment. The report on the visit from the British Embassy in Sofia notes that there had been several "incidents" during the visit, including breaches of protocol during Bulgarian speeches, and insults to the Greeks in the Bulgarian army's newspaper. Other matters discussed in the file include the expulsion of the Bulgarian military attaché in Athens -- the lack of reciprocal Bulgarian action against Greek officials -- the handling of the case by Radenko Grigorov, a Bulgarian deputy foreign minister with affiliations to Britain -- and the opening of an exhibition of contemporary Greek art by a Greek government minister in Sofia.
