Summary note
A file of correspondence concerning political relations between Albania and Romania. The correspondence covers a visit to Albania by a delegation from the Central Committee of the Romanian Communist Party to attend the Fifth Congress of the Albanian Party of Labour, which was widely reported in the Romanian press. The delegation visited factories and sent a congratulatory telegram on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the founding of the Albanian communist party. Further commentary discusses Romania's attitude towards Albania, arguing that it demonstrates Romania's adherence to the principle that all communist parties must be regarded as equal and allowed to develop in their own manner.
