Summary note
A file of correspondence and reports concerning agricultural matters in Bulgaria. The correspondence reports on various government speeches and press reports on the "forthcoming tasks of agriculture", exhorting farmers to ensure no crops are wasted in the forthcoming harvest. Further commentary notes the difficulties of obtaining fresh vegetables and meat, and surmises that the government has over-committed themselves on exports. The file also includes reports on the failure of the government to pay promised wage increases, which has led to strike action among some factory workers.
