Summary note
A file of correspondence concerning two divorce cases and the status of Allied land forces in Italy in 1946. The correspondence includes enquiries from the Principal Probate Registry at Somerset House with regard to two divorce cases being heard before Justice Karminski. Clarification is required with regard to the recognition of the Italian Government of 1946 by British, Polish, and Italian land forces in connection with the marriages of members of the Polish armed forces in Italy, performed by Polish army chaplains.
