Summary note
A file of reports, correspondence and memoranda concerning the continued British response to the development of Communism. The documents contain a report on the development of Soviet foreign policy over the past year -- discussion of the reactions of the British press to Stalin's recent birthday -- a number of summaries of Soviet foreign policy broken down by region and country -- a paper on anti-Stalinist Communism and its development, with a particular focus on its propagation in several European nations -- and a report on the changing trends of Communist propaganda over recent years. Other documents discuss indications regarding Soviet Foreign Policy, approved in January 1950 -- a report by the Russia Committee on the use of the term "Cold War" -- the effects of Communist propaganda by country -- and a further summary of indications on Soviet Foreign policy produced in February 1950, suggesting that the Soviet government has resumed overt political pressure.
