Compostite manuscript written in at least three hands and on more than one type of paper containing eight treatises on astronomy and arithmetic with an introduction; diagrams within and between the works. Some of the works are dedicated to Muḥammad Valī Mīrzā, the third son of Fatḥ ʻAlī Shāh Qajar (see for example, f. 171v, 279r).

  • Decoration: Rubrications chiefly in red with a few in brown; numerous diagrams in red, black, and brown; some tables in red and black.
  • Layout: Various layouts, but chiefly written 14-17 long lines.
  • Manuscript codex.
  • Origin: Works 3, 5, 6 dated 1241 A.H. (f. 46v, 78v, 97r); works 8 and 9 dated 1245 A.H. (f. 171r); work 10 is dated 983 A.H. (255r); work 11 is undated.
  • Script: Chiefly written in nastaʻlīq in black ink; pointed; some marginalia in shikastah and some quotations in naskh.
  • Shelfmark: MS Or 462.
  • Titles supplied from table of contents pasted into front inside cover or from caption titles.
