Notes
  • Decoration: Dual-page illuminated first opening with polychrome and gold headpiece, gold floral margin fill and text on cloudbands (f. 1v-[2]r). All other pages are ruled in between each line in gold and black and border-ruled in gold, black, red. Gold roundels mark verse endings. Rubrications in red, including headers and readings.
  • Foliation: Modern foliation added in pencil, upper left recto; catchwords every verso, lower left.
  • Layout: 10 ruled lines; border-ruled.
  • Manuscript codex.
  • Origin: Item is not dated, but likely copied in Iran in the 18th century or first half of the 19th century.
  • Script: Written in naskh in black ink; some elements in nastaʻliq; pointed, partially vocalized.
  • Shelfmark: MS Or 203.
