Therefore, this project aimed to (1) establish a shared understanding of current institutional practices in defining student success, and (2) measure the sector's openness to new approaches, especially those focused on students' basic needs. To shed light on the challenges and opportunities associated with the collection and prioritization of a broader set of student success metrics, especially those focused on a more holistic set of student experiences and challenges like food and housing security, the research team surveyed community college provosts across the United States in fall 2020. The survey examined national provost perspectives on college priorities and influencing factors, traditional data collection practices, emerging data collection processes on student basic needs, and the role of data disaggregation for advancing equity.Cf: http://doi.org/10.3886/ICPSR38833.v1 567 Chief academic and student affairs officers at community colleges across the United States. 650 7 Academic Achievement |2icpsr 650 7 Academic Guidance Counseling |2icpsr 650 7 Child Care |2icpsr 650 7 Community Colleges |2icpsr 650 7 Data |2icpsr 650 7 Educational Administrators |2icpsr 650 7 Educational Objectives |2icpsr 650 7 Food Security |2icpsr 650 7 Higher Education |2icpsr 650 7 Housing Needs |2icpsr 650 7 Peer Influence |2icpsr 650 7 Social Justice |2icpsr 650 7 Supportive Services |2icpsr 700 1 Blankstein, Melissa |uIthaka S+R, |eeditor. 700 1 Wolff-Eisenberg, Christine |uAchieving the Dream, |eeditor. 710 2 Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research. |0http://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n79141035 830 0 ICPSR (Series) |v38833 956 40 |uhttps://doi.org/10.3886/ICPSR38833.v1
