    Summary note
This little commentary s designed to be read with the Revised Standard Version. For the discussion of Hebrew poetic art in the main introduction I have deviated from RSV a little to bring out the character of the original. The plan is the same for almost every psalm: first an introductory section, then the main exposition in divisions which show the psalm's structure, and finally a paragraph on the theological importance of the psalm in the larger Christian context. - Preface.
