"御定历代题画诗类"是中国历史上第一部,也是唯一一部冠以官修之名的题画诗集,共120卷,收唐宋金元明五朝题画诗八千余首.此书刊刻于清康熙四十六年,其具体成书过程少为人所注意,又引发出诗作的筛选,编排等文学技术问题,以及在域内域外的传播等书籍史问题.透过此书可以一窥"官修书"标签下康熙内府刻书的多面性,亦关涉康熙朝中晚期内廷官员的生态,宮廷与江南图书事业的互动,题画诗发展历程等复杂的政治史,文化史命题.
