While granting participation rights to non-state actors, states have been actively involved in establishing complex ties with them. International organizations, in their turn, have enhanced the sustainment of complex networks. The author argues that the involvement in networks of international organizations provides better capacities in communication. Thus, being a governmental or non-governmental entity, an actor tends to occupy the beneficial structural positions of a leader, connecting to as many actors as possible; or a broker bridging isolated subgroups within a network. Through a study of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) and the respective diplomatic, institutional, and organizational networks that participate in it, he explores the most visible stakeholders, the institutional setting of the HRC, and the multilateral negotiations on the prevention of human rights violations in 2010-2019. The volume will appeal to scholars, students and practitioners interested in the international organisations, networks, foreign policy, the United Nations and the Human Rights Council"-- |cProvided by publisher. 610 20 United Nations Human Rights Council. 650 0 Complex organizations. 650 0 Communication in organizations. 650 0 Organizational behavior. 650 0 Social networks. 650 0 Strategic planning. 650 2 Social Support |0(DNLM)D012944 650 6 Organisations complexes. |0(CaQQLa)201-0080175 650 6 Communication dans les organisations. |0(CaQQLa)201-0036957 650 6 Comportement organisationnel. |0(CaQQLa)201-0038633 650 6 Réseaux sociaux. |0(CaQQLa)201-0162393 650 6 Planification stratégique. |0(CaQQLa)201-0135831 610 27 United Nations Human Rights Council. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01667962 650 7 Communication in organizations. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst00870217 650 7 Complex organizations. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst00871595 650 7 Organizational behavior. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01047801 650 7 Social networks. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01122678 650 7 Strategic planning. |2fast |0(OCoLC)fst01134371 776 08 |iOnline version:Boyashov, Anatoly, 1989- |tNetwork governance of the UN Human Rights Council |bFirst Edition. |dNew York : Routledge, 2022 |z9781003200451 |w(DLC) 2021061964 830 0 Global institutions series 910 |cG0601mon |d3110-08 |gYBP |h466321 914 (OCoLC)on1290016304 |bOCoLC |cmatch |d20240508 |eprocessed |f1290016304 980 17777695 |i160.00 |j131.20 |n40031372254 982 |cf |q32101118837788 986 |hJZ4974 |i.B69 2022
