Description: Register A is the earliest surviving record book at Stationers' Hall. Includes binding of apprentices, orders of the Court and details of receipts and expenditure. Entry Book of Copies & Wardens' Accounts'. Contains Entries of Copies 9 December 1554 to 2 August 1596. Wardens' annual accounts, 1554-1571, and annual cash abstracts, 1571-1596. Initial account covers 3 years [1554-1557]. Accounts include receipts for presenting apprentices, entering the freedom, fees paid for entries of copy and miscellanea, accounts for gifts received by the hall and payments made.
