Summary note

Description: The logbook for HMS Adventure, commanded by Tobias Furneaux, which accompanied HMS Resolution on Cook's Second Voyage in search of Terra Australis. The logbooks are written by Lieutenant Arthur Kempe and Midshipman Love Constable. Includes accounts of interactions with indigenous peoples, including trading, as well as violent and hostile encounters.
