Antoni Gaudí i Cornet (25 juin 1852 - 10 juin 1926) est un architecte catalan. Diplômé de l'École d'architecture de Barcelone en 1878, il travaille dès ses débuts avec l'architecte Josep Fontsere sur le projet du parc de la Ciutadella. Sa carrière commence vraiment en 1883, avec le début de l'édification de la Casa Vicens. Jeune architecte, il est d'abord inspiré par Eugène Viollet-le-Duc mais bien vite, il rompt avec le modèle néogothique et se fait remarquer par son originalité et sa fantaisie.
