    • These map are the result of the excavations and research conducted at Tikal under the auspices of the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology and the government of Guatemala from 1956 through 1969.
    • Shows locations of mayan ruins structures, ancient water resources, ruins of 19th century villages, stelas, altars, chultuns (man made water reservoirs), natural water reservoirs, swamps, ancient quarries, roads and trails. seasonal marshes, roads and trails.
    • On the back of the report is included a key table used for sites on the map and a nomenclature used by previous archaeologist titled: "New structure numeration and equivalences with previous designations", (compiled by Willian A. Haviland).
