Summary note

Memoirs of a Jew born in 1938 in Druya, Poland (now in Northern Belarus), which was occupied by the Germans in July 1941. In April 1942 he was interned with his parents and two siblings in the ghetto; during a roundup several months later, he fled with his mother, but his father, sister, and brother were killed. He and his mother went into hiding with Polish friends on various farms, and then fled with partisans to the forest, where they remained until the liberation. In 1949 they emigrated to Israel.
