Summary note
"This work, Moche, Iconography and Cosmovision, has a great value for the knowledge about the moche world, thanks to the care that the author, as founding director of the Complex Archaeological Project El Brujo, has had during 29 years of archaeological research. The representations on the mud walls are duly documented with the photographs of the moment of discovery, as well as through the hypothetical reconstructions in drawing and color. Additionally, the author presents new interpretations about the sacred territory of the El Brujo Complex, its architecture and its relationship with the complex Moche world through the rich iconography and the high reliefs discovered in the Huaca Cao Viejo, and its comparison with the polychrome representations of the Huaca de la Luna in the Moche valley. Scholars of the present and the future will have at hand all the necessary documentation to submit to constructive criticism the ideas expressed by the author"--Provided by publisher.
