Summary note
Typed letter from E. J. Maude to the Secretary of His Majesty's Treasury regarding the Minister of Health's desire to have a bill prepared. The bill would reduce the age for the commencement of non-contributory old age pensions in the case of blind persons from 50 years to 40 years, and to provide for the giving of assistance other than medical or institutional relief to blind persons and their dependents under the Blind Persons Act of 1920, and not under the Poor Law.
