Summary note
This book is a comprehensive, authoritative monograph, which presents a complete overview of optimization methods applied to cement-based materials. It is written by members of the leading research team in the world based at the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research in Warsaw, under the editorship of the distinguished researcher Professor A.M. Brandt. The book explains the basis of optimization methods, and then presents approaches that can be used for mix design of concrete, optimization of ordinary and special concretes (fibre-reinforced concretes, polymer cement concretes, water permeable concretes). The design and optimization of large sets of experimental data is discussed in a special chapter.
