The 1st work for horn and piano, 2nd for horn solo, 3rd for horn and piano (13 pieces) or 4 horns (2 pieces), and the 4th for 2-4 horns.
The 4th work consists of 20 sonneries, op. 123 (nos. 10, 20, 13); Sonneries, 1932 (nos. 3, 1); Cinq sonneries, 1935-1940 (nos. 5, 2); and Quelques sonneries, op. 153bis (nos. 11, 2-3, 5).
