Notes
Composite version, with parts of at least three separate editions. Primarily made up of Jugge's 1575 ed., with t.p & preliminary matter from Barker's BCP of 1617. Cf. STC (2nd ed.).
BCP: title within ornamental border (McK. & Ferg. 168); head- and tail-pieces; initials (some historiated).
Imperfect: many pages missing, some mutilated with initials cut out.
BCP colophon with printer's device (Mck. 125 [alpha]): Imprinted at London by Newegate Market next vnto Christes Church, by Richarde Iugge, printer to [sic] Queenes Maiestie.
Signatures: BCP a¹² B⁸ A⁶ B-P⁸ Q⁶ ; Psalter A-I⁸ K⁶ A²-Q⁶ R⁴.
"The Psalter or Psalmes of Dauid after the translation of the great Bible..." has special title page dated 1575 and separate regsister; title within ornamental border (McK. & Ferg. 68).
