  • Chancery folio, with paper measuring 30.6 x 21.9 cm. Printed in 2 columns (table of contents, 3 columns; prologue in a single column). Gothic type (see Proctor 8722), 45-49 lines. Initial spaces with guide letters at beginning of books and in gatherings 2a-2g; woodcut ornamental initials elsewhere. Printer's device (Silvestre, no. 1188) on last page following colophon.
  • Illustrations: 18 large woodcuts, 13 within double-line borders (including 1 repeat and 1 cut composed of six small sections) and 5 within single-line borders (including arms of Castile and Aragon on title page, measuring 154 x 136 mm), and 6 small woodcut diagrams. The 17 cuts in the text, prefixed to books 2-17 and 19, are on leaves a6, c1, d6, e8, k2, l6, o6, C2, D3, D6, E5, F8, G8 (repeated from D3), I1, L4, M8 and 2m5. The diagrams are on leaves c3 (3 geometrical), c8 (2 optical) and I1 (schematic map of the world).
