Description: This series (2 folders) contains documents from Maurice Powsner's life before he joined the United States Army Air Force. The documents give an insight on the different people and institutions that shaped Powsner. Items from the series include telegrams congratulating Powsner's parents and grandparents on his birth, Boy Scouts of America booklets, religious notes from Temple Beth David, report cards, school notebooks, a Lafayette High School alumni newsletter, and letters of recommendation for Powsner's applications to West Point and the Army Air Force.
