Description: Mrs. Frank Gooch, New Orleans, to Sgt. Frank Gooch, 2628th Hospital Section. Asking him to be her valentine; receiving news of his stomach trouble; anecdote of Marine being injured on train and suing railroad; sick of being a "war widow"; asking him to tell her where he is in Europe; looking for an apartment in New Orleans; living without hot water; asking him to write soon. Also included transcription of New Orleans Times Picayune article on invitation of next-of-kin of prisoners of war to meet recently returned American POWs where they discussed the discharge point system and bombs dropped on American POWs traveling on German railroads.
