Provenance
Princeton MS. 71 is of unknown early provenance. The manuscript was later in Rome, at the Carmelite Church of Santa Maria in Traspontina, on the Via della Conciliazione. The church was built between 1566 and 1668. An unidentified dealer's description in English was found in the manuscript. The manuscript was in the collection of Elmer Adler (1884-1962). Adler established and directed the Department of Graphic Arts in the Princeton University Library from 1940 to 1952. The Adler collection was acquired by Princeton University Library between 1945 and 1955.
