Notes
Papal indulgence issued on 9 May 1313 in the 8th year of his pontificate, although not under leaden seal, in favor of the Confraternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Marien Brüderschaft) at Cologne. The indulgence bears 12 of the original 15 wax pendant seals affixed by the issuing prelates, who included Francesco da Antiocha, archbishop of Palermo; Henricus of Virneburg, archbishop of Cologne (r. 1304-1332); Raymundus, archbishop of Edirne; and Pedro, bishop of Salamanca.
Provenance
On file in the Department of Rare Books and Special Collections is an unidentified early 20th-century German dealer's typewritten description, with a handwritten list of the names of the issuing prelates. But there is no information about provenance.
