Summary note
Works of art from the castles and chateau funds managed by the National Heritage Institute. The introductory study of the book deals with the issue of provenance research in these collections and takes into account their transformation after the Second World War. Emphasis on the origin of the works is also given in the monograph studies of the catalog section. The texts represent selected paintings, sculptures and reliefs from the collections of Červená Lhota, Český Krumlov, Hluboká nad Vltavou, Horšovský Týn, Jindřichův Hradec, Kladruby, Kratochvíle, Rožmberk, Švihov, Telč, Třeboň and Zvíkov. The first volume of the catalog includes works from leading European painting and carving workshops from the 14th to the beginning of the 17th century - the Master of the Třeboň Altar, Michaela Wolgemut, Master IP, Albrecht Dürer, Lucas Cranach St., Josef Heintz, Hans von Aachen and others.
