Provenance
Garrett MS. 135 was written and decorated in the Ghent-Bruges area of Flanders in the early 16th century, but its subsequent provenance is unknown until it was acquired by Thomas Harrison Garrett (1850-1888), Class of 1868, of Baltimore, Maryland. His bookplate is on the inside front cover and the number 32 is written in pencil in the upper left corner. The manuscript entered the collection of his son, Robert Garrett (1875-1961), also of Baltimore, Class of 1897. On his father's bookplate, Garrett wrote his initials “R.G. June 1927” in pencil. His gift to the Princeton University Library, 1942.
