• This map is the result of the research conducted at the Mayan site of Tikal under the auspices of the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology and the government of Guatemala from 1956 through 1969.
• Shows locations of Mayan ruins structures, ruins of 19th century villages, stelas, altars, chultuns (man made water reservoirs), natural reservoirs, swamps, ancient quarries, roads and trails.
