Princeton copy 2: Second Edition (first 1797) of Mrs. Bryan's first scientific publication. Unusual not only as a scientific work written by a woman for women and girls, but as a subscription work to which a significant number of the subscribers were women (of the 400 subscribers, 120 were women).
Princeton copy 2: Handsome stipple-engraved frontispiece of Mrs. Bryan with two young girls, surrounded with instruments: a telescope, an armillary sphere and a sextant, engraved after a miniature of the same size.
