Provenance

• Ex copy: Contains manuscript notes in two early hands to passages in De interpretatione (on the relationship between language and logic), in the Prior Analytics (on deductive reasoning), and in the Topics (on the art of dialectic). One section on syllogisms in the first book of the Prior Analytics and another on questioning and answering in book 8 of the Topics are especially heavily annotated.
• Ex copy: In near contemporary calf, blind filleted border and frame to covers with gilt corner and center ornaments, later leather overlaid on spine, remains of paper spine label, "Aristot. logica" inked to tail edge.
