Biographical/Historical note
Greek photographers Konstantinos Rhomaides (d. 1900) and Aristotelis Rhomaides (d. 1916) were known variously as the Rhomaïdès frères, the Rhomaides Brothers, and the Rhomaidae, although they sometimes signed their work as individuals. They are known for their photographs of classical sites in Greece.

The album is labeled "Collections A. Rhomaides / Athènes Antique et Moderne" on the front cover and "Pinacothèque Hellénique" in the upper left corner.
