"Guide Post of English Language"--cover.
Preface explains the differences between Japanese and English pronunciation and mentions that the English pronunciation is taken from Webster's dictionary.
This is actually a compilation from various sources. The first section provides alphabets in different scripts and an illustrated dictionary of terms under various subjects that is not included in the Chouquet's original. Chouquet's "Conversational English" was in French and English parallel translation. The second section of this volume is an excerpt from Chouquet's volume, only in English and Japanese parallel translation.
"共同出版舍藏版"--title page.
